L'Arche Calgary now accepts online donations through CanadaHelps.org, an e-donations portal that allows donors to conveniently support us. Canada Helps instantly issues official tax receipts and funds are forwarded to L'Arche Calgary less a 3% transaction fee on a monthly basis. L’Arche Calgary operates on a mix of government funding and the support of the local population.

In 2007, L’Arche Calgary launched a unique fundraiser dubbed the ‘Cake Walk’ to help meet the changing and additional needs of its members. The Cake Walk exhibits edible art by top local pastry makers and provides sponsors with the opportunity to support a cause that highlights their commitment to inclusion and equality. Community Spirit Donation Grant Program

This past spring the province's Ministry of Culture and Community Spirit launched the "Community Spirit Donation Grant Program". Eligible Alberta charities and non-profits may apply for a proportional donation grant based on donations they receive from private individuals over the course of a year. Thanks to our wonderful individual supporters over this past year, L'Arche Calgary may be eligible to receive up to $25,000!

This new program is poised to become an annual source of hard-to-find operational funds for charities. For L'Arche Calgary, these dollars would assist us in covering the maintenance of our homes' vehicles, communications programs, and the rising costs of utilities.
